[Update 2 Nov 2013]
In case you got a virus/trojan alert please make sure to install the latest version!
In an previous version of this article a utility TrackpadAdmin.exe was mentioned. With the release of Version 1.3 we removed this utility which significantly reduce the risk to get classified as a virus/trojan.
[Article 28 Oct 2013]
We are aware that some virus scanners fire alerts during installation, claiming TrackpadControl.exe is a virus/trojan.
It is not true, this alert is a False Positive. If possible please ignore these warnings and add an exception to your virus scanner. In case it is a work computer and you don’t have permission please ask your systems administrator to add an exception.
You can double check that most virus scanners do not detect our software as viruses at virustotal. Here are the scan results for TrackpadControl.exe (version 1.3).
Note: Most detections do not even claim it is a virus, they tell you it’s a GENeric Trojan or a Suspicious file.
There is a reason why some scanners fire alerts. We use a professional application packer and licensing system. Unfortunately this packer is also used by real malware.

Today we got an unusual support request. Suke was complaining that the Magic Trackpad does a secondary (right) click on a one finger tap and a normal (left) click on a two finger tap. It turned out Suke has swapped the mouse buttons in the Windows settings as she uses her mouse on the left hand and the Magic Trackpad on the right hand.
As a side node: I use the Magic Trackpad with the left hand and a Wacom tablet with pen simultaneously on the right hand, so I never came across this issue.
As Windows sees the Magic Trackpad as another mouse you can change the swapped button settings in Windows only globaly and not per device (you might have a Logitech mouse where you possibly can adjust this setting indivdually).
I did a bit of research and voilà there is a great little tool called EitherMouse which swaps the buttons (and cursor) on the fly for each individual mouse! It even works with more than two mice!
EitherMouse is based on AutoHotkey and extracts the souce code on request. A support forum is here.
Great stuff!

Often we receive new feature requests to add more multi-touch gestures for both the Magic Mouse and the Magic Trackpad.
We really would love to, but there is a fundamental issue. Apple is obviously not interested to add more than basic multi-touch support to Windows.

While doing research about the Magic Trackpad, I found that there is a battery indicator on Mac OS X. So there should be an easy way to receive the battery info under Windows as well, in theory.
